Walter Martins

About me

          I was born in Spain on March 17th 1984 and I moved to Póvoa de Varzim at 6 years old. Since early, with 9 years old, I started to study music at Póvoa de Varzim musical band. Currently, I'm a musician and direction's member in this musical band. At the age of 10, I entered Póvoa de Varzim musical school where I could improve my musical knowledge and finish the 8th grade on the complementary course of music. I attended "Rocha Peixoto" high school where I was a founding member of a theatre and drama group called "Devisa". Currently, I'm a member of the “Varazim Teatro” direction, where I enrolled at 18 years old. I saw this as an opportunity to enhance my competences in the performing arts.

          Besides music and theatre I always had an interest in informatics. In order to fulfil this passion I enrolled in “Network Engineering and Informatics Systems” course at University of Porto. During my graduation I had the chance to become a professor of Musical Education. I saw this has an excellent opportunity given my background and I accepted this position. At this time, I requested to be transferred to Informatics Engineering course at "Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto" in after-labor regime.

          I consider myself a determined, persistent and creative person, with a great sense of responsibility and a great ability to adapt to different environments and circumstances.
